Primitive Camp Information

Registration and set-up will be from  9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 30th and continue 8 a.m to 8 p.m. daily through Friday June 5. Within a reasonable amount of time you should be set-up, in Rendezvous clothing, and move your vehicle to “Participant Parking”. Vehicles are not be kept in the camping area overnight even before Friday. You will be allowed to drive in ONCE more before Friday and after that you must move your vehicle to "Participant Parking" again. This means that WHATEVER day you set up, after your 2nd trip in your vehicle does not return to Primitive Camp until AFTER Evening Colors at 5 p.m. on Sunday June 7, weather permitting. After 8 p.m. Friday, you will have to carry your gear into camp. If it rains, be prepared to pack in and out.

Please do not bring firewood to the Rendezvous! According to the USDA and the INDR reports, the Emerald Ash Borer has been found in Illinois. This insect is potentially disastrous to all ash trees in the state and is being brought to new areas in firewood. Additional firewood will be purchased locally. For the same reasons we ask that you do not remove firewood from the site as well. Thank you for your cooperation.
