New events at Fort de Chartres State Historic Site

Hello Friends, This is just a quick note to let you about some new and exciting events happening at and around Fort de Chartres. Coming up on Saturday, July 24th, is the first annual Commandant's Ball. The ball will be held at the American Legion Hall in Prairie du Rocher. Prairie du Rocher's own String Connection will perform at 7pm with the dance starting at 8pm. For more information please go to http://www.saveillinoishistory.com/.
On Oct. 9th, Fort de Chartres will host the first Fete at the Fort special event. This new event will feature beer tasting with a number of small and some large breweries. There will also be historic interpretive programs at this event. For more information please go to http://www.feteatthefort.com/
